Protecting Yourself Online
At PXC, the security of your personal and financial information is important to us. As online scams and fraudulent activity become increasingly sophisticated, we encourage all clients and investors to remain vigilant when communicating digitally.
How PXC Communicates with You
When communicating with PXC online, please:
- Confirm you are visiting or communicating with a website or email domain authorised by PXC. The domains authorised by PXC and L1 Group are listed below. No other website or email domains are authorised by PXC or L1 Group.
- PXCAdvisors.com.au
- L1Group.com.au
- PXC does not conduct job interviews over online communication platforms, such as Google Hangouts.
- PXC currently does not communicate through direct messaging services on social media platforms.
Best practices
Please observe the following best practices:
- Do not send emails or otherwise communicate with anyone with an address other than authorised PXC or L1 Group email addresses (see authorised domains listed above). PXC does not permit our employees and authorised representatives to send or receive work related emails from personal accounts or any other address. If you are aware of suspicious or potential fraudulent activity when communicating through email, please contact info@PXCAdvisors.com.au for assistance.
- Do not communicate or deal with personnel who are not affiliated with an authorised office. All authorised office locations are listed on our contact page. No other office locations are authorised offices of PXC or L1 Group.
- Do not share your login information or password with anyone, including PXC or L1 Group personnel. Giving anyone access to your accounts can put your information at risk. PXC or L1 Group will never ask you for your login information or password except when allowing you to log in to an L1 authorised site.
- Be creative with your password. You should use a highly secure password for all your financial accounts. The strongest passwords combine letters, numbers and special characters. The longer the password, the better. Never use the name of a family member, pet or any other information that someone could easily obtain, such as your birth date, phone number or address. Remember to change your password regularly as an added security measure. Avoid reusing the same password for multiple websites.
- Use an email provider that asks you to verify your identity in multiple steps. Sometimes this is referred to as multi-factor authentication, or two-factor authentication.
